Video break down of leaked Halo 3 info

Shatter Studios have put together two videos that summarize the leaked Halo 3 info in easily digestible bites. Using the leaked images as backgrounds, the videos point out new weapons, features, and maps. Think of it like a really awesome version of all those crappy documentaries you had (or have) to watch in high school. Our favorite part is when they point out the new spike grenade, which resembles a WWII era German grenade -- you may remember 1UP's Mark MacDonald remarking that it makes a satisfying/terrifying "whoop whoop whoop" sound as it rotates in the air. Check out both videos after the break.

Keep your eyes out for peeks at three new maps: Valhalla, High Ground, and Snowbound. Also check out the spike grenade, spiker, and Spartan laser.

This video gives an overview of what few map details there are. It also speculates about some of the weapons. I'm not sure I agree with the double barreled shotgun idea though. It's more likely that the model has simply been improved. You can download higher res versions of these videos here and here (registration required). So, what do you think, see anything you like? What's your favorite new feature, weapon, or map?

[Thanks, Snuggles 420]

1. pretty cool montage,

In regards to the second movie, I could be wrong but i don't think
that the shotgun has two barrels, a regualr shotgun has that
cylinder underneath the barrel and it's where the shells are stored.

just my 2 cents

9. I did something almost identical to this on my site the day after the scans came out. However, it isn't in video, it's in the old fashioned text and picture way. British Gaming Blog features it though.: )

13. That "combat knife" Could actually be a spike grenade. Since it kind of looks like a modern day ww2 german grenade.

15. i reckon the 'x' button will be used for that filming of the action scenes, i remember reading about it where in campaign u get more videoing, but in mp u get a lil less but u record and send the action scenes to ur friends and stuff, helps with montages and stuff, thats my guess, but yeh could be the combat knife also. how do u switch grenades??
